We revise the taxonomy of the genus Meigen, 1803 from Zhejiang, East China. One new species from Zhejiang, , is described and illustrated. Morphologically, the new species is most similar to Kang, Xue & Zhang, 2019 and Alexander, 1924, but it can be distinguished by the coloration of the abdomen and the details of the male genitalia. In addition, Alexander, 1937 is recorded from Zhejiang for the first time. Two known species from Zhejiang, Yang & Chen, 1998 and Yang & Chen, 1995, are redescribed and illustrated. A key to Chinese species of is provided.
