Abstract

belongs to the genus Gymnocorymbus in the family Characidae, and is mainly distributed in southern Brazil. Herein, we report the complete mitogenome of using Illumina sequencing data. The mitogenome is 17,999 bp in length and contains 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, and 2 ribosomal RNA genes. Phylogenetic analysis of and 18 related species within Characidae indicates that clusters within the family Characidae. The data provide useful genetic information for future studies on the taxonomy, phylogeny, and evolution of Characidae species.

属于脂鲤科的裸顶脂鲤属，主要分布于巴西南部。在此，我们利用Illumina测序数据报道了[物种名称]的完整线粒体基因组。该线粒体基因组长度为17,999 bp，包含13个蛋白质编码基因、22个转运RNA基因和2个核糖体RNA基因。对[物种名称]和脂鲤科内18个相关物种的系统发育分析表明，[物种名称]聚类在脂鲤科内。这些数据为今后脂鲤科物种的分类学、系统发育和进化研究提供了有用的遗传信息。
