The diagnosis, clinical aspects, and emergency treatment of the most common cardiac arrhythmias, including atrial flutter and fibrillation, paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia, the Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, ventricular tachycardia, and torsades de pointes, are discussed.
