Abstract

The sharpbelly, (Basilewsky, 1855) is a small cyprinid fish that has a wide distribution in East Asia. In this study, we characterized the complete mitochondrial genome of in Hainan Island using Illumina MiSeq platform. The mitogenome contained 16,621 bp with AT content of 56.2%. The mitogenome of comprised 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes, and one control region (D-loop). Phylogenetic analyses indicated that in the Hainan Island formed independent lineage and the species of might be a paraphyletic taxon.

尖头鱥(Basilewsky,1855)是一种小型鲤科鱼类,在东亚分布广泛。在本研究中,我们利用Illumina MiSeq平台对海南岛的尖头鱥线粒体全基因组进行了特征分析。该线粒体基因组包含16,621个碱基对,AT含量为56.2%。尖头鱥的线粒体基因组由13个蛋白质编码基因、22个转运RNA基因、2个核糖体RNA基因和一个控制区(D环)组成。系统发育分析表明,海南岛的尖头鱥形成了独立的谱系,尖头鱥物种可能是一个并系分类群。
