The present paper deals with the infestation of freshwater fishes , and by the parasitic isopods and in Tapti, a westward freshwater flowing river of India. The isopods H. Milne Edwards, 1840 and Stebbing, 1907 were identified with the taxonomic keys of Milne Edwards (1840) and Stebbing (1907), respectively. It is the first record of the infestation of parasitic isopods and in the freshwater fishes of river Tapti with new hosts' species , and .
