Abstract
Aerobic culturing was performed on blood samples from 20 cows with coliform mastitis and signs of systemic illness, and on blood samples from 21 cows with mastitis caused by other agents. No bacteria other than the skin contaminant Bacillus sp were isolated from the blood.
