To ensure a wide-scale prophylactic examination of the population in Zaparozhie, an automated centre of medical diagnosis was set up on the basis of the medical centre at an automobile plant. Using computers working in the real time mode, wide-scale prophylactic screening of clinically healthy people is carried out at the Centre. This makes it possible to elicit patients with neurological abnormalities and to provide prophylactic and rehabilitative services for them.
