To review the research progress of cementless intercalary prosthesis stem.
The literature about the cementless intercalary prosthesis in treatment of bone defects of extremities was reviewed, and the designing and application of prosthesis stem were analyzed.
Cementless intercalary prosthesis has the advantages of good biocompatibility. However, there are also some disadvantages, including the multiple factors affecting the fixation of the prosthesis stem and individual differences in the stability of the prosthesis. The methods to improve the fixation stability of prosthesis stem mainly include the optimization of prosthesis stem shape, addition of auxiliary fixation, and improvement of coating materials on the stem surface as well as porous structure of the stem surface. Among these methods, augment with auxiliary fixation has the most satisfactory effect on improving the stability of prosthesis. However, the deficiency of the method is the increasing risk of the larger incision exposure and surgical trauma.
Improving the design and fixation method of the cementless intercalary prosthesis stem can further improve the stability of the prosthesis. Under the premise of avoiding increasing surgical trauma as much as possible, addition of the auxiliary fixation can be a feasible choice to improve the fixation stability of prosthesis.

非骨水泥型间置假体具有生物相容性良好的优点。然而,也存在一些缺点,包括影响假体柄固定的多种因素以及假体稳定性的个体差异。提高假体柄固定稳定性的方法主要包括优化假体柄形状、增加辅助固定、改进柄表面涂层材料以及柄表面的多孔结构。在这些方法中,增加辅助固定对提高假体稳定性的效果最为令人满意。然而,该方法的不足之处是切口暴露和手术创伤增大的风险增加。
改进非骨水泥型间置假体柄的设计和固定方法可进一步提高假体的稳定性。在尽可能避免增加手术创伤的前提下,增加辅助固定可以是提高假体固定稳定性的一种可行选择。
