This paper reviews 79 cases of diagnostic ankle arthroscopy. Primary diagnoses and the effects of arthroscopy in relieving the preoperative symptoms are evaluated. In addition to the ankle, arthroscopy of the subtalar and first metatarsophalangeal joints is discussed.
