Management of early-stage endometrial carcinoma.

Endometrial cancer is now the most frequently diagnosed invasive gynecologic malignancy in the United States. The majority of patients are in the perimenopausal or postmenopausal age range, and many have coincidental medical problems that bring them under the care of the family physician. Most of the patients have Stage I or Stage II endometrial carcinoma and thus have an excellent opportunity for long-term disease-free survival.
