[Axial roentgenogram of the acetabulum (author's transl)].

The authors report the technical skills and diagnostic values of axial roentgenograms of the acetabulum. This procedure usefully completes the traditional method of examination of the hip joint and it is more informative in many cases. The method is advised in the modern examination and treatment of acetabular fractures, whether isolated or complicated by traumatic hip dislocation. Apart from its application in traumatology, this special technique is valuable in orthopedics as well.
