In the primary and early operative treatment of deep burns of the hand necrectomy is the main point. Grafting of skin is urgent, too, but it is secondary to necrectomy. The hazard to the deep structures on the hand make a primary flap plasty necessary. However, if it is about a relative indication or the personal and material conditions are missing, a temporary skin replacement (biological bandage) is appropriate.
