OBJECTIVE
Searching for health information is an important strategy in dealing with cancer that contributed to the improved management of cancer. This qualitative study aimed to explore the experiences of cancer patients seeking health information using the conventional content analysis approach.
METHODS
The 18 participants were selected by purposive sampling and data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews. Data were analyzed by software MaxQDA 10 based on conventional content analysis.
RESULTS
Data analysis led to the emergence of three central categories, including "optimal cancer management," "poor information dissemination system," and "perceived health literacy."
CONCLUSION
Knowing how cancer patients obtain health information can form the basis to promote patients' health literacy and design a health information dissemination system tailored to the patients' needs.
目的
搜索健康信息是应对癌症的重要策略，有助于改善癌症的管理。本定性研究旨在采用常规内容分析法探讨癌症患者搜索健康信息的体验。
方法
通过目的抽样选择了 18 名参与者，并通过半结构化深入访谈收集数据。基于常规内容分析法，使用 MaxQDA 10 软件对数据进行分析。
结果
数据分析产生了三个核心类别，包括“癌症的最佳管理”、“不良的信息传播系统”和“感知健康素养”。
结论
了解癌症患者如何获取健康信息可以为提高患者健康素养和设计满足患者需求的健康信息传播系统提供基础。
