Topical application of minoxidil has been reported to be effective in the treatment of androgenic alopecia. The treatment of two sets of identical twins is reported. One twin of each pair was treated with 3 percent topical minoxidil. The second twin was not treated for one year in one case and for five months in the other. The treated twin in each pair had more hair after treatment with minoxidil.
