Abstract

Fourteen lanthanide (Ln)-containing hetero selenato-phosphato-peroxopolyoxoniobates in three series: (1) Cs{[Ln(HO)][HPSeNb(O)O]}·HO [Ln = Ce (), Pr (), Sm (), Eu (), Gd (); , , , = 12; = 16]; (2) CsK{[Ln(HO)][HPSeNb(O)O]}·HO [Ln = Dy (), Tm (), Yb (), Lu (); = 14; = 24; , = 13]; (3) CsKH{[Ln(HO)][PSeNb(O)O]}{[Ln(HO)][PSeNb(O)O]}·HO [Ln = Ho (), Er (), Tm (), Yb (), Lu (), = 5, = 1; = 5; = 6.5; = 0.75; = 4; = 19, = 34; = 31], have been isolated by a one-pot reaction and structurally characterized by various physical and chemical analyses. These compounds represent the first group of Ln-functionalized polyoxoniobates with mixed heteroatoms. In addition, the photoluminescence properties of compounds , , and were measured, and the time-resolved emission spectra showed that the {PSeNb} segment contributed to the energy transfer from the polyoxoniobate units to the Ln center, which effectively promoted the emission of the Ln center.
