The interrelationship between the size of receptive fields and the eccentricity in areas 21, 19 and 7 of both hemispheres was studied on immobilized cats. Correlation between the receptive fields size and the eccentricity in area 21 in the both hemispheres was low (R = 0.15; P greater than 0.05). In areas 19 and 7 the correlation of the size fields and eccentricity was higher: for area 19 R = 0.9; P less than 0.0001 and for area 7 R = 0.5; P less than 0.01. The fact determined before that the receptive fields size in the left hemisphere are larger than in the right hemisphere was confirmed.
