Location of the midbrain region where electrical stimulation can evoke locomotor activity of limb muscles was determined in decerebrate guinea pig. Minimal thresholds (5-10 microA) were observed for sites in the ventromedial part of inferior colliculi, dorsolateral border of central grey and immediately dorsally to n. cuneiformis (1.8-3.0 mm rostrally to interauricular axis).
