Abstract

A new species of vampire crab, Geosesarma garutense n. sp. is described from Garut in the eastern part of West Java, Indonesia. The species is unusual among congeners in Java in that the exopod of the third maxilliped does not possess a flagellum, the carapace is broadly rectangular in shape and the G1 relatively is short and stout, with the chitinous distal part spatuliform.

一种新的吸血蟹物种，即加鲁特真寄居蟹（Geosesarma garutense n. sp.）被描述于印度尼西亚西爪哇东部的加鲁特。该物种在爪哇的同种中与众不同，因为第三颚足的外肢没有鞭状结构，其甲壳呈宽矩形，G1 相对较短且粗壮，其具几丁质的远端呈桨状。
