A new species of semi-terrestrial sesarmid crab of the genus De Man, 1892, is described from central Taiwan. is distinct in possessing a strong transverse crest on the inner surface of the male chela and a diagnostic male first gonopod which is relatively long and stout, with the distal chitinous part broad and spatuliform. Like most species, has large eggs and direct development, contrasting with the only other species known from Taiwan, Ng, Liu and Schubart, 2004, which has small eggs and planktotrophic larvae.
1892年德曼(De Man)属的一种新的半陆生相手蟹被描述于台湾中部。它的独特之处在于雄螯内表面有一条明显的横向嵴,以及诊断性的雄性第一腹肢,相对较长且粗壮,远端几丁质部分宽阔且呈铲状。与大多数该属物种一样,它有大卵且直接发育,这与台湾已知的另一个物种(Ng、Liu和Schubart,2004年)不同,后者有小卵且幼体为浮游性幼虫。
