A case of idiopathic sustained ventricular tachycardia of about 70 days' duration.

A 29-year-old woman with idiopathic sustained ventricular tachycardia (VT) of about 70 days' duration who was in congestive heart failure is described. VT showing QRS morphologic pattern of right bundle branch block and left axis deviation during an episode of tachycardia is suggested to make a unique clinical entity; (1) it occurred in young and asymptomatic adults without demonstrable organic heart disease; (2) the VT was inducted and terminated with atrial or ventricular stimulation; and (3) it responded to verapamil.
