[Possibilities and value of the use of tumor markers in gynecologic oncology. 2. Tumor-associated antigens].

A synopsis is given about characteristics of tumor-associated antigens in general and in special regard to related antigens in gynecologic oncology. The current situation of in-vitro- and in-vivo diagnostic application and in therapeutic results are presented and their advances by development of monoclonal antibodies against tumor antigens have been demonstrated. Existing problems are discussed and possibilities of their solution are described.
