Abstract
This rarely encountered ocular tumor, observed in a girl aged 9 years, was derived from an undifferentiated embryonal retina and bore structural resemblance to the primordial retina of the optical vesicle. The tumor contained tissues and structures extraneous to the eye and was therefore classified as teratoid medulloepithelioma.
