[The use of UV irradiated autoblood for the prevention and treatment of pulmonary complications after operations on organs of the abdominal cavity].

The authors have made an analysis of incidence of postoperative pneumonias in 285 patients aged from 60 to 83 after operation on the abdominal organs. The use of reinfusion of the UV irradiated blood in the complex of prophylactic measures for prevention of postoperative pneumonias resulted in 2 times less amount of such complications.
