A comparison of the casting accuracy of base metal and gold alloys.

The casting accuracy of three alloys was compared, and statistically significant differences in the dimensions of each alloy were demonstrated when the frameworks were compared to their respective master casts. There are certain problems with the accuracy of each alloy studied; thus framework try-in appointments and wrought wire clasps soldered to the finished framework are advocated.
