Central nervous system (CNS) disorders exhibit complex neurophysiological and pathological mechanisms, which seriously affect the quality of life in patients. Acupuncture, widely accepted as complementary and alternative medicine, has been proven to exert significant therapeutic effects on CNS diseases. As a part of the innate immune system, NLRP3 inflammasome contributes to the pathogenesis of CNS diseases regulating neuroinflammation. To further explore the mechanisms of acupuncture regulating NLRP3 inflammasome in CNS diseases, our study focused on the effects of acupuncture on neuroinflammation and the NLRP3 inflammasome in vascular dementia, Alzheimer's disease, stroke, depression, and spinal cord injury. This study confirmed that the activation of NLRP3 inflammasome promotes the development of CNS diseases, and inhibiting the activation of NLRP3 inflammasome is a potential key target for the treatment of CNS diseases. In addition, it is concluded that acupuncture alleviates neuroinflammation by inhibiting the activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome pathway, thereby improving the progression of CNS diseases, which provides a theoretical basis for acupuncture to attenuate neuroinflammation and improve CNS diseases.
中枢神经系统(CNS)疾病表现出复杂的神经生理和病理机制,严重影响患者的生活质量。针灸作为被广泛认可的补充和替代医学,已被证明对中枢神经系统疾病具有显著的治疗作用。作为先天免疫系统的一部分,NLRP3炎性小体通过调节神经炎症参与中枢神经系统疾病的发病机制。为了进一步探究针灸调节中枢神经系统疾病中NLRP3炎性小体的机制,我们的研究聚焦于针灸对血管性痴呆、阿尔茨海默病、中风、抑郁症和脊髓损伤中神经炎症及NLRP3炎性小体的影响。本研究证实,NLRP3炎性小体的激活促进中枢神经系统疾病的发展,抑制NLRP3炎性小体的激活是治疗中枢神经系统疾病的潜在关键靶点。此外,研究得出结论,针灸通过抑制NLRP3炎性小体途径的激活来减轻神经炎症,从而改善中枢神经系统疾病的进展,这为针灸减轻神经炎症和改善中枢神经系统疾病提供了理论依据。
