[Carpal tunnel syndrome caused by a rare tendon variation].

The cause of carpal tunnel syndrome in a 51 year-old female patient was the attachement of the flexor digitorum superficialis tendon to the palmar aponeurosis. Variations of the musculature in the hand are not only of anatomic interest, but are also of clinical significance in so far as they may present a source of diagnostic and therapeutic errors.
