PURPOSE
This work reports a case of long-standing punctate inner choroidopathy (PIC) presenting with acute-onset multiple evanescent white dot syndrome.
METHODS
A 44 year-old man presented with new onset of flashes and a peripheral spot of blurry vision in the right eye. His ocular history included PIC in both eyes.
RESULTS
Corrected visual acuities and intraocular pressures were normal. Posterior segment examination of the right eye demonstrated old PIC lesions and new, deep-yellow lesions in the posterior pole and midperiphery. Four months later, these lesions had resolved.
CONCLUSIONS
Coexistence of PIC and multiple evanescent white dot syndrome has been rarely reported, and more research is warranted to investigate a possible shared etiology.
目的
本研究报告一例长期存在的点状内层脉络膜病变（PIC），表现为急性起病的多发性一过性白点综合征。
方法
一名44岁男性，右眼出现新发闪光及周边模糊视野光斑。他的眼部病史包括双眼患有PIC。
结果
矫正视力和眼压正常。右眼后段检查显示后极部和中周边部存在陈旧性PIC病变以及新的深黄色病变。四个月后，这些病变消退。
结论
PIC与多发性一过性白点综合征并存的情况鲜有报道，有必要开展更多研究以探究可能的共同病因。
