Abstract

PURPOSE

We report a case of vitreoretinal lymphoma as the initial presentation of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma of the breast.

METHODS

A case report is presented.

RESULTS

A 72-year-old woman was referred for evaluation of vitritis in both eyes. Diagnostic vitrectomy and pathology workup demonstrated atypical lymphoid cells consistent with the presence of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. Brain magnetic resonance imaging and lumbar puncture findings were negative for central nervous system lymphoma. Positron emission tomography/computed tomography imaging showed a mass in the left breast, and breast biopsy confirmed aggressive B-cell lymphoma.

CONCLUSIONS

When vitreoretinal lymphoma is diagnosed, it is important to evaluate for other forms of systemic lymphoma in addition to central nervous system lymphoma.

目的

我们报告一例以玻璃体视网膜淋巴瘤为首发表现的乳腺弥漫性大B细胞淋巴瘤病例。

方法

呈现一例病例报告。

结果

一名72岁女性因双眼葡萄膜炎前来接受评估。诊断性玻璃体切除术及病理检查显示存在与弥漫性大B细胞淋巴瘤相符的非典型淋巴细胞。脑磁共振成像和腰椎穿刺检查结果显示中枢神经系统淋巴瘤为阴性。正电子发射断层扫描/计算机断层扫描成像显示左乳有一肿块，乳腺活检确诊为侵袭性B细胞淋巴瘤。

结论

当诊断为玻璃体视网膜淋巴瘤时，除评估中枢神经系统淋巴瘤外，评估其他形式的系统性淋巴瘤也很重要。
