Diquat intoxication: treatment by charcoal haemoperfusion and description of a new method of diquat measurement in plasma.

A 24-year old man was exposed to a diquat aerosol and developed systemic symptoms and mild non-oliguric renal failure. A method of measurement of diquat was later developed and serial diquat levels during and after haemoperfusion showed that the technique was relatively ineffective in removing diquat.
