Osteosynthesis by screws only was used in 391 patients mainly for spiral and oblique fractures of long tubular bones. The authors give recommendations for anesthesia, selection of the screws, technique of introduction, postoperative plaster immobilization. Grounds for optimal variants of disposition of the screws in relation to the length and direction of the fracture are given. The total amount of complications by the authors' materials made up 9.8%.
