Acral speckled hypomelanosis is a very rare pigmentation disorder that appears early in life with hypopigmented macules on background of normal skin, occurring on the acral parts.
We report a 9-year-old female patient with a 3-year duration of progressive, hypopigmented, confetti-like macules occurring symmetrically on the dorsum of both hands and feet. Biopsy showed normal number of melanocytes with no evidence of macromelanosomes using special stains for melanocytes.
Acral speckled hypomelanosis is a relatively, recently, discovered entity, with only 9 cases reported to date, and our case is the 10th. The exact etiopathogenesis is not yet known.
肢端斑点状色素减少症是一种非常罕见的色素沉着障碍，在生命早期出现，表现为正常皮肤背景下的色素减退斑，发生于肢端部位。
我们报告了一例 9 岁女性患者，其病史为 3 年，进行性色素减退，呈雪花状斑疹，对称分布于双手和双脚背部。活检显示黑素细胞数量正常，使用黑素细胞特殊染色未见巨黑素体证据。
肢端斑点状色素减少症是一种相对较新发现的疾病实体，迄今为止仅报告了 9 例，而我们的病例是第 10 例。确切的病因发病机制尚不清楚。
