Exposure to adverse life events renders North Korean (NK) refugee women vulnerable to mental health problems, suicide risk being one of the most concerning. We examined bonding and bridging social networks as potential moderators of suicide risk among NK refugee women ( = 212). We found that exposure to traumatic events significantly increased suicidal behavior, but its impact was alleviated if they had a stronger bonding social network. The findings suggest that the negative impact of trauma on suicide can be reduced by strengthening bonding between people with similarities (i.e., family, individuals with the same country of origin).
遭受不良生活事件会使朝鲜（NK）难民女性易患心理健康问题，自杀风险是最令人担忧的问题之一。我们研究了结合和桥接社会网络作为朝鲜难民女性自杀风险的潜在调节剂（ = 212）。我们发现，创伤事件的暴露显著增加了自杀行为，但如果她们有更强的结合社会网络，其影响就会减轻。研究结果表明，通过加强具有相似性的人之间的联系（即家庭、来自同一原籍国的人），可以减轻创伤对自杀的负面影响。
