The DNA-polymerase activity was determined in the cytosol of the intact and regenerating liver of adult and old rats under conditions of free passage of enzymes from nuclei and mitochondria. The DNA-polymerase activity of the intact liver is significantly increased in adult rats. The regeneration results in about 2-fold and 10-fold increase of the activity in the liver of adult and old rats, respectively. As a result, the DNA-polymerase activity in the regenerating liver of old rats significantly increased as compared to that of adult rats. The revealed age-related changes in the DNA-polymerase activity of the liver do not correlate with the decrease in the replication rate in the process of aging.
在酶可从细胞核和线粒体自由通过的条件下,测定成年和老年大鼠完整肝脏及再生肝脏胞质溶胶中的DNA聚合酶活性。成年大鼠完整肝脏的DNA聚合酶活性显著增加。再生使成年和老年大鼠肝脏中的活性分别增加约2倍和10倍。结果,老年大鼠再生肝脏中的DNA聚合酶活性与成年大鼠相比显著增加。所揭示的肝脏DNA聚合酶活性的年龄相关变化与衰老过程中复制速率的降低无关。
