Key to the species of Hyphozyma (yeast-like Hyphomycetes) and description of H. roseonigra sp. nov.

The new species, Hyphozyma roseonigra, characterized by pink colonies, budding cells with minute annellated zones and brown, septate hyphae, is described. It is non-fermentative, shows no colouration with Diazonium Blue B, and has an ascomycete-type cell wall ultrastructure. A key to the accepted species and varieties of Hyphozyma is given.
