Abstract

BACKGROUND

Simon, 1893 is one of the most speciose genera of Oonopidae, with 124 extant species mainly distributed in the Old World. Currently, 27 species are known in China.

NEW INFORMATION

A new species, Tong, sp. n., is described from Guangdong Province, China. Morphological description and illustrations are provided.

西蒙蛛属（Simon, 1893）是妖面蛛科中物种最为丰富的属之一，有124个现存物种，主要分布于旧世界。目前，中国已知有27个物种。
