Abstract

A green approach was proposed for fixing CO with high efficiency and minimal energy consumption to produce 2-oxazolidinones through a one-pot reaction under mild conditions. A catalytic system composed of CuI and the ionic liquid [BMMIM][PF] was employed, resulting in excellent yields. The starting materials, amines, aldehydes, and alkynes, with various substituents were investigated. The ionic liquid [BMMIM][PF] used in this study was easy to prepare and easy to recycle for repeated use.
