Abstract
Studies on immune reactions induced by dysentery bacilli revealed that mice immunized orally or intravenously develop the specific general resistance against reinfection with the microorganisms. Antibodies circulating against bacilli were the indicators of humoral immune response and the activated T lymphocyte detected in the spleen of immunized mice were the indicators of the cell mediated immunity.
