The taxonomy of the potamid genus Dai, Song, He, Cao, Xu & Zhong, 1975, is revised. Three species are known from southern China: Dai, Song, He, Cao, Xu & Zhong, 1975 (type species); Huang, Shih & Ahyong, 2020; and Huang, Shih & Ahyong, 2020. Eight new species are here described from northern Vietnam: , , , , , , and . This is the first record of the genus in Vietnam, with all the new species obtained from karst formations. The species are differentiated by the characters of carapace shape, anterolateral armature, posterior margin of the epistome, male sternopleonal cavity, chelipeds, ambulatory legs, male thoracic sternum, male pleon, and structures of the male first gonopods and vulvae.
