A 43-year-old patient with a two-year history of rheumatoid arthritis developed diffuse pulmonary fibrosis with increased lung elasticity. Pulmonary artery catheterization revealed pulmonary hypertension at rest. Treatment with steroids and immunosuppressive drugs prevented progression of the disease.
