This historical retrospective details the life and legacy of Dr LaSalle D. Leffall Jr, a leader in the field of surgical oncology, passionate surgical educator, and indelible mentor. His courage, , paved the way for multiple generations of minority surgeons leaving a lasting impact the history of American surgery.
