Abstract

We report the case of a nine-month-old girl with acquired oesophageal stricture and tracheo-oesophageal fistula after the ingestion of a mercury button-battery. In any child with suspected button-battery ingestion an x-ray examination should be carried out to exclude oesophageal impaction which necessitates immediate removal of the battery, as tissue necrosis may occur within hours.

我们报告了一名9个月大女童的病例，该女童在误食一枚汞纽扣电池后出现了后天性食管狭窄和气管食管瘘。对于任何疑似误食纽扣电池的儿童，都应进行X线检查以排除食管嵌顿，因为食管嵌顿需要立即取出电池，否则数小时内可能会发生组织坏死。
