Abstract

The postdate pregnancy is a common and difficult problem for the physician, who must decide between risking premature delivery by inducing labor and waiting so long that post-maturity complications may be present. A normal contraction stress test with a postdate pregnancy is reassuring, and artificial labor promoted by an inducible cervix or an abnormal contraction stress test should attain the best result for both mother and baby.

过期妊娠对医生来说是一个常见且棘手的问题，医生必须在因引产而冒着早产风险和等待过久而可能出现过期产并发症之间做出抉择。过期妊娠时正常的宫缩应激试验结果令人安心，对于宫颈可诱导或宫缩应激试验异常的情况，人工引产对母婴双方而言应能取得最佳效果。
