Periorbital myectomy for essential blepharospasm.

Essential blepharospasm is considered to be an incomplete form of Meige dystonic syndrome. Different medical and surgical treatments have been tried with a low success rate on a long-term basis. We are presenting a patient in whom the recently described technique of periorbital myectomy was applied.
