[Sanatorium-health resort services to patients with diseases of the nervous system and role of scientific research in optimizing them].

The author analyzes specialized sanatorium care of patients with nervous system diseases at trade union sanatoria. The author considers a series of organizational and methodological questions related to the development and improvement of a programmed purposeful method of research aimed at improving the efficacy of sanatorium treatment of neurological patients. A special attention is devoted to problems of scientific, methodological, and organizational provision of sanatorium rehabilitation to patients with spinal diseases and consequences of spinal injury and questions of its succession. The ways of optimizing the methods of psychotherapy in combined sanatorium treatment are outlined.
