The authors describe a patient with symptomatic epilepsy in whom an arteriovenous aneurysm was diagnosed using carotid angiography. The patient's son had had 3 episodes of subarachnoidal hemorrhage caused by an aneurysm of the anterior connective artery verified both angiographically and surgically. A suggestion has been made not only about the liability to vascular diseases in this family but also about the possibility of hereditary nature of brain aneurysms.
