[Cancer of the right kidney and tumor of the right liver].

The true benign nature of a right side of liver tumor was revealed only after postoperative histopathology in a patient with cancer of right kidney. This raises the problem of kidney tumors with liver metastases. The preoperative diagnostic value of liver biopsy under ultrasound guidance is discussed, together with reasonable limits of hepatic excision combined with nephrectomy as a function of single or multiple metastases, their location, and their degree of surgical accessibility.
