This report describes a patient with massive hemoperitoneum secondary to a gunshot wound. The patient sustained no lower extremity trauma but developed a thigh and leg compartment syndrome after application of military antishock trousers (MAST). This is an unusual complication, but if it is recognized and treated promptly, further morbidity can be avoided.
