Abstract

The reaction of ethane-1,2-di-amine (en, CHN), the sodium salt of naphthalene-1,5-di-sulfonic acid (HNDS, CHOS), and nickel sulfate in an aqueous solution resulted in the formation of the title salt, Ni(CHN)(HO)·2HO or Ni(en)(HO)·2HO. In the asymmetric unit, one half of an [Ni(en)(HO)] cation and one half of an NDS anion, and one water mol-ecule of crystallization are present. The Ni cation in the complex is positioned on a twofold rotation axis and exhibits a slight tetra-gonal distortion of the -NiON octa-hedron, with an Ni-N bond length of 2.0782 (16) Å, and Ni-O bond lengths of 2.1170 (13) Å and 2.0648 (14) Å. The anion is completed by inversion symmetry. In the extended structure, the cations, anions, and non-coordinating water mol-ecules are connected by inter-molecular N-H⋯O and O-H⋯O hydrogen bonding, as well as C-H⋯π inter-actions, forming a three-dimensional network.

乙烷 - 1,2 - 二胺(en,C₂H₈N₂)、萘 - 1,5 - 二磺酸钠盐(HNDS,C₁₀H₆Na₂O₆S₂)与硫酸镍在水溶液中反应生成了标题盐Ni(C₂H₈N₂)₂(H₂O)₂·2H₂O 或 Ni(en)₂(H₂O)₂·2H₂O。在不对称单元中,存在半个[Ni(en)₂(H₂O)₂]阳离子、半个NDS阴离子和一个结晶水分子。配合物中的Ni阳离子位于二重旋转轴上,其[NiO₆N₂]八面体呈现出轻微的四方畸变,Ni - N键长为2.0782 (16) Å,Ni - O键长分别为2.1170 (13) Å和2.0648 (14) Å。阴离子通过反演对称性形成完整结构。在扩展结构中,阳离子、阴离子和非配位水分子通过分子间的N - H⋯O和O - H⋯O氢键以及C - H⋯π相互作用相连,形成三维网络结构。
