Abstract

Postpartum depression (PPD) is a common illness in mothers after childbirth. PPD negatively affect the mother's quality of life and the bond with the infant, which can interfere with the infant's emotional, social, and cognitive development. PPD is caused by various biological and psychosocial factors. The aim of this review is to summarize the latest evidence of the associations between genetic polymorphisms and PPD. PubMed and Scopus were used as the literature search databases for this review. The keywords used were postpartum depression, postnatal depression, genetic, and polymorphism. Twenty-seven articles were reviewed after screening and applying the inclusion criteria. As results, the serotonin gene () and oxytocin genes () have the most significant associations with PPD among other genes. Further research on PPD biomarkers should be conducted to diagnose and treat PPD patients.

摘要

产后抑郁症(PPD)是产后母亲中常见的疾病。PPD会对母亲的生活质量以及与婴儿的亲密关系产生负面影响,进而可能干扰婴儿的情感、社交和认知发展。PPD由多种生物和心理社会因素引起。本综述的目的是总结基因多态性与PPD之间关联的最新证据。本综述使用PubMed和Scopus作为文献搜索数据库。使用的关键词为产后抑郁症、产后抑郁、基因和多态性。在筛选并应用纳入标准后,共审查了27篇文章。结果显示,血清素基因()和催产素基因()与PPD的关联在其他基因中最为显著。应进一步开展关于PPD生物标志物的研究,以诊断和治疗PPD患者。
