Abstract

Mice are protected against lethal doses of Salmonella typhi-murium by vaccination with ATA extracted from Providencia. No protective effect is observed when the S. typhi-murium strains are enterotoxigenic. Thus protection is antibacterial, but not antitoxic.

摘要

用从普罗威登斯菌中提取的ATA对小鼠进行疫苗接种,可使其免受致死剂量的鼠伤寒沙门氏菌的侵害。当鼠伤寒沙门氏菌菌株具有产肠毒素能力时,未观察到保护作用。因此,这种保护作用是抗菌的,而非抗毒素的。
